Amazing Geocaching – The Great Geocaching Adventure will be held on 12.7.2014 in Jämsä, at Himos holiday resort. The main event is on Saturday, the Amazing Geocaching Nature Adventure suitable for the whole family, but during the weekend there will be a number of other geoactivities at the resort and in its surroundings.

Alustavan ohjelman mukaan aloitamme Geokylän rakennustalkoot perjantaina 11.7.2014 klo 15.00, minkä jälkeen siirrymme vapaaseen illanviettoon Geokylän nuotiopaikoille sekä messualueelle, joka avataan perjantaina klo 18.00 kauppiaiden toimesta. Lauantain päätapahtumana 12.7.2014 on varsinaisen MEGAn ohessa Amazing Geocaching -seikkailu lähialueen luonnossa - joskin samaan aikaan Geokylässä jatkuvat messut sekä muu yhdessäolo koko päivän ajan. Sunnuntaina 13.7.2014 CITO päättää Mega-viikonlopun ohjelman.
Lauantaina on päätapahtuman aika eli suuri ja ihmeellinen Amazing Geocaching - Suuri Geokätköseikkailu avataan klo 9.00 ja joukkueet lähtevät liikkeelle porrastetusti aamupäivän aikana! Seikkailu kisataan kahdessa sarjassa: Leikkimielisen seikkailusarjan myötä joukkueet voivat tutustua alueen luontoon, geokätköihin ja aktiviteetteihin omaan tahtiinsa. Parhaat joukkueet palkitaan fyysisen suorituksen sijaan pikemminkin hyvän fiiliksen ja joukkuehengen myötä. Kisasarjalaisille tahti on kovempi ja rastitehtävät voivat vaatia erikoistaitoja ja sinnikkyyttä - mutta myös palkinnot ovat sen mukaisia. Kilpailu järjestetään yhteistyössä useiden yrittäjien sekä yhdistysten kanssa. Tarkoituksena on mahdollistaa ennenkokemattomia, sekä fyysistä osaamista että henkistä nokkeluutta vaativia elämyksiä geoväelle Himoksen komeissa maisemissa.
Mega järjestetään kokonaisuudessaan omalla tapahtumakentällä ja leirintäalueella Himoksen Länsirinteiden alapuolella sekä Himoksen upeissa maisemissa, jotka alkavat aivan tapahtuma-alueemme reunalta. Bussi- ja junayhteydet paikalle ovat mainiot ja perillä pärjää vaikka jalkaisin koko tapahtuman ajan.
Pääalueelle rakennamme Geokylän, josta löytyy niin messualue, omat teltta- ja karavaanarikylämme, suihkuja, nuotiopaikkoja, ruokailumahdollisuus sekä muita yhteisiä ja yleisiä tiloja, joissa geokansa voi viettää aikaansa.
Tapahtuma on kaikille avoin ja ilmainen kaikkine aktiviteetteineen!

We will begin on the Friday 11.7. at 15.00 with a working party to set up the Geo-village, after which we can take it easy around the campfires in the Geo-village and in the exhibition area which will be opened for traders at 18.00.
Amazing Geocaching – The Great Geocaching Adventure, Saturday's main event, starts at 9.00 and teams will set off at intervals during the course of the morning! The Adventure is a competition with two classes: in the light-hearted adventure class teams can get to know the area's wildlife, geocaches and activities at their own pace. The best teams will be rewarded not for their physical performance but rather for their level of shared fun and team spirit. In the competitive class the pace is tougher and the checkpoint tasks can require special skills and persistence – but the prizes are correspondingly suitable. The competition is organised together with several entrepreneurs and societies. The aim is to provide the geocommunity in Himos' beautiful surroundings with new experiences requiring physical abilities and mental sharpness.
The Mega is organised entirely in its own area at the foot of Himos' western slopes and in its scenic surroundings, which extend from right beside our grounds. Bus and train connections are excellent and once there you can easily get around on foot the whole time.
The main area will comprise the Geo-village including traders' area, our own camping and caravan park, showers, campfire places, lunch and snack facilities, and other common areas where the geocommunity can spend time together.
The event is open to all and it's free, with all its activities!
